When I started designing our master bathroom, I knew I wanted it to be black, white and have wood accents. It’s a classic combination that we are seeing more often as the modern farmhouse trend becomes ever so popular. I spent countless hours searching products, researching materials, buying samples, and scrolling Pinterest. I finally came up with a winning combination, and today, I want to share all the nitty gritty details. I have also linked all the products, and if you happen to purchase through one of the links below, I receive a small commission and I very much appreciate your support!
The Vanity:
What I Love: The cane detailing on the cabinet doors, the bottom shelf for extra storage space, soft close doors, the quality of the overall construction and product. What I don’t love: I was going for a farmhouse look, and while the whitewash detail and natural wood is beautiful, it feels a little more coastal in my opinion. This is really just a matter of preference, because when it comes down to the product, I would recommend 10/10. Linked here.

The Mirror:
What I love: Nice clear mirror (no weird warping), easy to install, round modern look, great price point. What I don’t love: Nothing. Recommend 10/10. Linked here.
The Light Fixture:
What I love: The wood and black design matches the overall decor, great price point, perfect amount of light for a small space. What I don’t love: One of the sconces was a tad crooked, but my husband easily tweaked it straight. Recommend 8/10. Linked here.
The Floor Tile:
What I love: The classic black and white color, the boho pattern, the 8″ size looks balanced in a small space, great price point. What I don’t love: The floor turned out a little more busy than what I was expecting. Recommend 10/10. Linked here.
The Shower Tile:

What I love: The large size (24″x48″) has a luxurious feel and limits the amount of grout lines, the black wood look (how they get tile to look so close to wood is beyond me!) the dark moody color. What I don’t love: The price point. At about $10/sq ft, that was a little more than I initially wanted to spend, but everyone has their own opinion about price points. To many others, that would seem a perfectly reasonable price, but for me personally, it is on the higher end. Recommend 10/10. Linked here.
The Bathtub:
What I love: The modern look with it’s clean square lines, the maximizing of space inside the tub which allows for a deeper and bigger feeling, the price point. What I don’t love: It’s acrylic. I would have loved a cast iron tub, but my budget didn’t allow for it. However, this bathtub had great reviews and so far I haven’t had any issues and am very happy with the quality. Recommend 9/10. The Shower Head:
What I love: The matte black finish, the removable shower head, the water pressure, the several different spray options, the quality. What I don’t love: Nothing. Recommend 10/10. Linked here.
The Sink Faucet:
What I love: The rounded shape, the detailing on the knobs, the matte black finish. What I don’t love: The spray. I don’t know if this is an install problem, but the water stream has a slight spray to it which gets on the counter and that is a pet peeve of mine. I hate sitting water on the counter. Recommend 5/10 because I do love the look of it and that detail might be able to be fixed. Linked here.
The Shelves:
What I love: They are a veneer but I love that they have a natural wood look, the black metal brackets, great price point. What I don’t love: They came with crappy drywall anchors so the install was a bit difficult. (I attempted it and drove a drywall anchor straight through the wall… oopsie.) Recommend 9/10. Linked here.

The Rug:
What I love: The shade of green is the perfect cool toned green, the detail of the looped texture, the water absorbency, they are washable. What I don’t love: Nothing. I tried out EIGHT different rugs before I found the perfect color. Recommend 10/10. Linked here.
The Decor:

The black wire and wood handle basket is such a cute addition, I absolutely love it and it makes for a great tp holder. The green hand towels and diamond bath towels are from my go-to store, World Market. I have purchased all my bath towels there because they are great quality and have the cutest patterns. (Notice how the diamond pattern in the towels matches the floors?!) The toilet paper holder and towel rods were the set that matched the faucet, (Delta brand) and I love that everything matches, but I am sure you can find a version on amazon for much cheaper. The candle holders, artwork, and plants were all existing items I had, but I linked some similar decor items here.
