Hi, I’m Hannah!

I live in a small mountain town in Northern California with my husband and two boys. We love it here! I never thought I’d end up in the mountains. I moved to our resort town thinking I would spend one summer here, and here I am 13 years later. I worked in Human Resources for years, but when our boys were born (Henry, 5 and Jack, 2) I decided to leave the corporate life to become a stay at home mom. And it was then I discovered my passion for home and design.

For 8 years, my husband and I renovated our first house, a small mountain home on Surry Place. We spent weekend after weekend doing renovation projects (and almost killing each other haha) and throughout the process I discovered my love for home design. We sold that home but the legacy will live on as the name of my new blog/business, Surry Place.
